GOL Announces Direct Route from Buenos Aires to Belo Horizonte
The route will be seasonal from December this year to February 2024 and ticket sales will be available at the beginning of October, on the airline’s website
Once again, BH Airport will have a direct route to Buenos Aires, Argentina, now via GOL. The first flight departing from the airport already has a date: December 16th, taking off at 11:10 pm. Departure from Ezeiza International Airport takes place on Sundays, at 3:40 am. Initially, the route is seasonal and runs until February 17th. Flight ticket sales will be available at the beginning of October, on the airline’s website.
“Buenos Aires is the first international destination for many Brazilians and has been an old desire for Minas Gerais residents. Carrying out this route with GOL is a unique opportunity to strengthen ties and strengthen the partnership. With the announcement of this new flight, we will quadruple the offer of international destinations at BH Airport in 2023, which consolidates us as one of the three main destination hubs in Brazil. This is news to be celebrated by the state of Minas Gerais, which is becoming increasingly international and more accessible for tourism, generating opportunities and business”, highlights Clayton Begido, Connectivity and Aviation manager at BH Airport.
“With the 2023/2024 high summer season, GOL sees a great opportunity to further strengthen its leadership in takeoffs between Brazil and destinations in South America, such as Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Montevideo and Santa Cruz de la Sierra. In this scenario, an important expansion of the Brazil-Argentina flow will take place with the launch of the Belo Horizonte/Confins-Buenos Aires/Ezeiza seasonal route, a reason for great joy for GOL. This way, people from Minas Gerais will be able to travel comfortably and quickly to Buenos Aires during their holidays, and, in the opposite direction, Argentines will be just a few hours away from a state rich in culture, history, art, music, nature, gastronomy and hospitality” , says Bruno Balan, GOL’s Airline Strategic Planning Manager.
“We are committed to stimulating development, and this also involves encouraging tourism, a sector that moves the economy and creates jobs for people from Minas Gerais”, reinforces Governor Romeu Zema. “With another important international flight, Minas expands its connectivity, making it easier for people from Minas Gerais to go to Argentina, as well as directly bringing more people to the Destination of Minas Gerais. All of this is only possible with work and joint action with our strategic partners “, he adds.
“Argentina is one of Minas Gerais’ largest trading partners and the main one within Mercosur, moving millions of dollars every year in exports and imports. Having a regular direct connection with Buenos Aires again makes this relationship more agile and easier and expands business opportunities for companies in both locations, in addition to increasing tourism. The new route reinforces the position of Minas Gerais as one of the most important air hubs in the country, which also helps to attract more investments to our State”, says Ronaldo Alexandre Barquette, Director of Investment Attraction at Invest Minas.
