Air Malta transports 40,000 COVID vaccines to Libya

Air Malta has yesterday transported 40,000 COVID vaccines and a similar number of rapid testing kits donated by Malta to Libya. The flight was operated to Tripoli’s Mitiga airport.

Tweeting about Malta’s donation, WHO regional director Hans Kluge thanked the Maltese government for the solidarity shown with Libya.

Air Malta is pleased to be part of this global effort to transport vaccines and help neighbouring countries and other communities that it serves. During the pandemic the airline was instrumental to the Maltese Islands by carrying hundreds of tons of cargo that included vaccines, medicines, medical supplies, and personal protective equipment.
