First place in the category “Best Airline Staff”

Austrian Airlines is once again the European champion in 2016 when it comes to the quality of its service. This year the national carrier was given a top ranking again at the renowned Skytrax World Airline Awards 2016 bestowed upon the winners in Farnborough, England. The Austrian Airlines team clinched the title of “Best Airline Staff Service in Europe“ for the third time in row. The award applies both to the board crew as well as ground personnel.

“In terms of our game plan in 2016, we once again relied on the strong team spirit of our crew, says Kay Kratky, head coach (CEO) at Austrian Airlines. “They were convincing in their wing play, and were clearly superior in customer offense. We want to win the world championship next year,” he adds.

The World Airline Awards

The World Airline Awards are a global measure of outstanding performance in the airline industry. Rather than being decided upon by a jury, the awards are based on the results of the world’s largest customer survey in the airline industry, which is carried out by public opinion researcher Skytrax every year. Over 18 million airline passengers from over 160 countries evaluate around 200 airlines. The detailed results of the World Airlines Awards can be found at www.worldairlineawards.com.
