AirAsia X and Safran Landing Systems inked MRO deal

AirAsia X CEO Benyamin Ismail (centre left) and Safran Landing Systems Singapore Managing Director Shang Cheow Beng (centre right) announced the signing of a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) service contract for 24 Airbus A330 aircraft on 4th May. Also present were management team from both Safran and AirAsia X.

The contract covers complete overhaul and repair services for 24 landing gears of Airbus A330 aircraft. The first scheduled services will be provided by Safran Landing Systems MRO located in Singapore and will commence from year 2018 till year 2025.

Safran Landing Systems Singapore is currently commissioned to provide MRO services for landing gears of 32 Airbus A320 aircraft for the airline’s short haul affiliate AirAsia, this newly signed contract will bring the total contracted aircraft with AirAsia Group to 56.
