Air Dolomiti gets renewal of ISO certification from DNV
Green light for UNI EN ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications valid for the three-year 2023-2026
Air Dolomiti, the Italian airline of Lufthansa Group, has passed the scrupulous audit carried out by DNV, a leading independent, global provider of assurance, certification, verification and risk management services, obtaining the renewal of its UNI EN ISO 9001 and 14001 and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications.
All three certifications relating respectively to quality, information security and environmental management systems had been obtained in the past years, were periodically subjected to the required audits and confirmed on a regular basis.
This year the three facilities in Verona: headquarter, Training & Technical Center went through audits to again receive certifications that will be valid for the three-year period 2023-2026; for the first time, the maintenance hangar at the Florence airport was also certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
“This year we can say that we are very proud since, when the certifications obtained last years expired, an imposing work was imposed not only of a simple verification but of a complete restatement of the structures that really took us a lot of effort; however, we achieved the result and hit the target that we could not miss to guarantee once again to all our passengers, partners and collaborators the transparency and correctness of all our systems and procedures. Air Dolomiti bases its credibility on proper compliance with regulations, our commitment, however, has always been not only to match the required standard but rather to achieve excellence in every area of our business from safety to the care of the processes and data handling to the scrupulous control of the environmental management system. Certifications therefore document our consistency from a bureaucratic point of
view, but they are above all the framework that defines our commitment, our values and our awareness.” comments Steffen Harbarth, CEO of Air Dolomiti.
“That of certification is a voluntary path: Air Dolomiti chooses not to be self-referential by subjecting its environmental performance, data management and quality orientation to verification by a third party. An approach that demonstrates how voluntary certification is an added value, both to give substance to its commitment and as a guarantee of transparency towards the consumer. This renewal comes after rigorous audits that attest Air Dolomiti’s commitment to meeting the requirements of the
most important international standards, towards the continuous improvement of its performance,” concludes Massimo Alvaro, CEO of Business Assurance in Italy for DNV.
