HYDRO is the global market leader for Ground Support Equipment.
The close collaboration of HYDRO’s project engineers with the aircraft manufacturers for final assembly line configuration enables HYDRO to design the GSE for a new aircraft type before the first aircraft is delivered to an airline customer. All GSE products are manufactured in house. Both the outstanding quality made in Germany and the robust design, guarantee a trouble-free operation and a long-life cycle.

HYDRO Systems is the sole Tooling Service Provider for the Rolls-Royce Plc civil engine program. HYDRO has an exclusive contract for the design and supply of tools for all civil engines manufactured by Rolls-Royce Plc such as Trent and RB211 engines used on Airbus and Boeing aircrafts. To better support customer needs, HYDRO has established a subsidiary site in the UK (Derby) where our employees are solely working on Rolls-Royce engine business. The Engine Transportation stands used for the Trent 1000 (Boeing B787) and Trent XWB (A350) have been designed by HYDRO. All stands are manufactured by HYDRO USA and delivered to Rolls-Royce and the airline customers. Furthermore HYDRO supplies IAE with tooling for the V2500 engine and is a regular licensed supplier of Goodrich nacelle tooling for operators of CFM56 and GE engines. HYDRO is a preferred supplier to AGSE for LEAP tooling.
Through its tool design expertise, its lean production and its worldwide supply chain HYDRO is the official licensee of Boeing, Sukhoi and Goodrich and the strategic design and manufacturing partner of Airbus, Embraer and Antonov. HYDRO designs and manufactures most of the tools for the A400M military program.
EngineeringA third of HYDRO´s workforce is involved in research and development. HYDRO designs customized solutions and supports customers all the way from the eruption of an idea to the complete implementation of major projects. Due to its key know-how in transportation, leveling, positioning, installing and joining critical aircraft components and segments the company has designed and manufactured Final Assembly Line equipment for the most important aircraft manufacturers around the world. HYDRO has demonstrated its capability to manage turnkey projects successfully. Its customized solutions enable MROs and Airlines to optimize their maintenance procedures. “Design to cost” guarantees value engineering.
As a full service provider HYDRO Systems provides after sales services like spare parts management, technical support, commissioning and training, as well as on-site maintenance and calibration, repair, proof load testing, recertification and modification. A global network of service center enables a full package on-site service. HYDRO´s repair stations are certified by Airbus, Boeing, Rolls-Royce and Didsbury.
In 2014 Airbus and HYDRO signed a Maintenance Agreement for the worldwide servicing and repair of GSE and maintenance tooling.
In April 2015 HYDRO Systems USA Inc. and Airbus Material and Logistics Management in the Americas signed an agreement for HYDRO to be the provider of maintenance and repair of Airbus airframe tools.
