BUCHER LEICHTBAU’S AIRLINE TRANSPORT STRETCHER RECEIVES APPROVAL FOR BOEING’S 787-10 DREAMLINER

Company Bucher Group
Date 27.03.2019

The Bucher Group, the specialist for aircraft interior solutions, has announced its Airline Transport Stretcher (ATS) is now certified for use on the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner.

This certification now makes it possible to install the ATS on every version of the Boeing 787, and thus almost every aircraft type from Airbus and Boeing.

Bucher’s ATS is geared ergonomically to the patient’s comfort and can easily be adapted to each patient’s needs. .

Assembling the stretcher takes no more than 8–10 minutes with no tools needed. The height can be adjusted so that it safely and properly fits over a wide range of aircraft seats and seat spacing.

By using the ATS, airlines can reduce the space needed when transporting a patient. In its standard configuration, integrating the ATS s requires the blocking of just three rows of seats.

The ATS unit includes a stretcher with mattress and bed, a curtain for the patient’s privacy, a drip bag holder, armrests, a tray and a transport container – upon request special equipment can also made available.

Beat Burlet, CEO of the Bucher Group, comments on this certification:

“At the beginning of this year we were already able to hand over the 1,000th Airline Stretcher to one of our many satisfied customers. This is an important milestone and for us confirmation that we are on the right path with the product and in particular with reliability and operability. The successful approval of our ATS on the Boeing 787-10 means that we will now be able to offer this popular product for almost all Airbus and Boeing platforms.”

The Airline Transport Stretcher will be exhibited at the upcoming Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg at the Bucher stand #5D60.
