VINCI Airports celebrates new easyJet routes between Sal island in Cabo Verde and Lisbon and Porto in Portugal
VINCI Airports celebrates new direct routes between Sal airport in Cabo Verde and both Lisbon and Porto airports in Portugal, all operated by VINCI Airports. Those new routes are operated by easyJet.
VINCI Airports celebrated last week the inauguration of the new connection between two airports of the VINCI Airports network – Lisbon and Sal Island – with easyJet.
This new operation is very relevant for the connectivity of our network, reinforcing VINCI Airports ‘s commitment to offering more travel options and contributing to the tourism and economic development of the regions in which it operates. At Lisbon airport, the occasion was marked with an event at the boarding gate, with passengers participating in the traditional cake cutting and ribbon cutting. Upon arrival, at Amílcar Cabral International Airport (Sal Airport), the party continued with music, welcome drinks and gifts, providing passengers with a welcoming experience that reflects Cape Verdean hospitality. The event was also attended by local public figures, including the Minister of Tourism and Transport, Carlos Santos, received by the CEO of Cabo Verde Airports, in a celebration that reinforces the cultural and economic links between Portugal and Cape Verde.
Few days later, our teams celebrated this time the new route between Sal and Porto. With two weekly frequencies, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, this new route joins the Lisbon – Sal route, offering more direct connection options between Portugal and Cape Verde, facilitating cultural, tourist and economic exchange between the two regions.
