TUI Airways Celebrates Grand Opening of Manchester Airport’s Pier 1
TUI Airways joined the celebration at the grand opening of Manchester Airport’s brand new Pier 1 yesterday morning (Monday 1 April) by proudly operating the first ever flights from the new, £1bn infrastructure, with customers enjoying celebratory refreshments and live entertainment.
Also attending the celebrations was TUI Airways crew member Caroline Cox from Bolton. She operated on the first flight out of Terminal 2 to Alicante when it opened back in 1993. Having worked for the company for 33 years, her elder son is now following in her foot steps and is a first officer for the airline
As one of TUI’s largest regional hubs serving 73 destinations, Manchester Airport’s transformation will ensure over 2.7 million TUI customers flying from the North West will have a seamless travel experience.
