B2L – Bag to Life | Upcycling Aviation Materials
Upcycling is our passion. Under the BAG TO LIFE brand, B2L GmbH & Co. KG turns original aircraft materials into functional, stylish lifestyle products – from messenger bags made of decommissioned life vests to laptop protectors crafted from high-tech aviation textiles. Since 2010, B2L has saved more than 600,000 kg of CO₂ by giving aviation materials a second life.
Within the Aerotec Group, sustainability follows a clear principle: if a seat or component can still be used, we reuse it; if reuse is no longer possible, we upcycle it; and if upcycling is not an option, we recycle it into secondary raw materials. This cycle ensures that nothing is wasted and every material is given the maximum possible value.
B2L is more than a retail brand – it is the world’s first dedicated upcycling agency, supporting companies in integrating aviation materials into sustainable corporate storytelling and marketing concepts. Materials processed include textiles, plastics, glass, metal, wood, and paper, with a creative cycle that transforms production residues and B-goods into new, value-adding products.
Production is carried out exclusively in Europe by small, owner-managed family businesses under fair working conditions. B2L’s pioneering work has been recognized with multiple awards, including a nomination for the German Sustainability Award (2021).
With BAG TO LIFE, sustainability is not just a principle – it is made visible, functional and enjoyable in everyday life.
