STARLUX Airlines Expands Japan Network with New Kobe–Kaohsiung Service

STARLUX Airlines to operate charter flights to Taiwan from January 2027

KOBE, JAPAN — Kobe Airport will launch a new international route to Kaohsiung, Taiwan, with STARLUX Airlines introducing charter services between the two cities from 1 January 2027.

The new service will be Kobe Airport’s first direct connection to Kaohsiung and will further expand the airport’s international network.

STARLUX Airlines began international charter operations from Kobe Airport in April 2025, initially serving Taipei and Taichung. The addition of Kaohsiung will provide passengers with another direct connection between Kobe and Taiwan.

The new route will be operated using Airbus A321neo aircraft, with capacity for 188 passengers, including eight Business Class and 180 Economy Class seats.

Kansai Airports Group, which operates Kobe Airport, said it will continue working to expand the airport’s air network, improve passenger convenience and enhance the travel experience.

The new service is subject to approval by the relevant government authorities, and the flight schedule and aircraft type may be subject to change.
