The 8th China Aviation Industry Summit 2019 was Successfully Concluded

With all the concern and support, the summit has been successfully closed at the Crowne Plaza Shanghai from January 10th to 11th, 2019. This summit is hosted by the Shanghai Society of Aeronautics, Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Shanghai Aircraft Design & Research Institute, China Aeronautical Radio Electronics Research Institute and is co-organized by Shine Consultant. The CAIS 2019 themed on “Combination of Actual and Visual Conditions to Explore the Intelligent Aviation Manufacturing Way” and aimed to actively promote the strong development of the mid-stage of China’s aviation industry. By inheriting the successful experience of previous years, the summit invited experts from aircraft manufacturers, engine manufacturers and integrators, aviation materials and so on at home and aboard to dedicate to exploring the industry focus of digital integration, intelligent manufacturing, and innovation in aviation materials and process development under the Internet.

The 8th CAIS 2019 had a strong lineup of speakers. At the beginning of the summit, JIN Hongming, Secretary-General of Shanghai Society of Aeronautics, CHEN Li, Vice President of Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, and Wang Wenbin, Deputy Director-General of Shanghai Society of Aeronautics respectively delivered opening speech. After that, XU Qinghong, Deputy Director of Science and Technology Commission of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Lt, ZHUANG Hongxing, Senior Engineer, C919TCT Project Team of Shanghai Aircraft Airworthiness Certification Center of CAA, Richard WYNNE, Managing Director – Northeast Asia Marketing of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Francois MERY, Chief Operation Officer of Airbus China, WU Busheng, Vice President of COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Designing & Research Institute and Grace JIANG, Director of Aviation & Digital Business Development of AVIAGE SYSTEMS separately made their splendid presentation on the topic of “Ten Years’ Innovation Experience of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd”, “How to Make Up for the Disadvantage of Airworthiness and Enhance Airworthiness Certification Ability”, “Trends, Opportunities and Challenges in Chinese Civil Aviation”, “Airbus – Explore Excellence Through Continuous Innovation”, “Green Civil Aircraft Technology” and “Digital Aviation Ecosystem”.

In the afternoon, FENG Jinzhang, President of AECC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd., Javier VICEDO Ph.D., Chief Representative China & North Asia of European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Roger ZHANG, Corporate Affairs Director of Bombardier Aerospace China also made the brilliant presentation. What’s more, before the end of the day 1, there were Richard WYNNE, Managing Director – Northeast Asia Marketing of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, GUAN Dongyuan, Senior Vice President & President of China of Embraer, Roger ZHANG, Corporate Affairs Director of Bombardier Aerospace China, YANG Kun, Director-General of Infrastructure & Technology of AECC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd and Javier VICEDO Ph.D., Chief Representative of China and North Asia, European Aviation Safety Agency participant in the brainstorming. They discussed together with the moderator John CHAO, Chief Executive Officer of Asia Pacific Aerospace on the topic of “Challenges and Future Development of Civil Aviation Industry Marke”. Other attendees actively participated in the Q&A, and the scene was much wonderful.

Beside this, the Award Ceremony was similarly worth to expect. Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Airbus, Embraer and Bombardier Aerospace won the “Best Aviation Industry Partner Award 2019”. And Siemens PLM Software won the “Best Industry Software Supplier Award”.

By the second day, there was still a strong lineup of speakers. GAO Lei, Director of Technology and Information of China Aviation Radio Electronics Research Institute, YAN Shaojiu, Researcher & Ph.D. Supervisor of AECC Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials and Vice President of Beijing Institute of Graphene Technology, WAN Xiaofeng, Technical Director of Simcenter Aviation Industry of Siemens, SONG Jianmin, Deputy General Manager of IT Department of China Eastern Airlines, WANG Jianhua, Researcher-level Senior Engineer, Deputy Chief Technician, Chief Model Technician of COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd., HUANG Jianmin, Research Fellow, Vice Chief Engineer of AVIC Shanghai Aeronautical Measurement-Controlling Research Institute respectively made their exciting presentation on the topic of “Development of Avionics System and Architecture of Advanced Avionics System”, “Study on Application of Graphene Materials in Aviation”, “Aircraft Performance Engineering Innovation”, “Aviation Digital Technology – Practice of Eastern Airlines on Internet Mode”, “How to Realize the Comprehensive Growth of Infrastructure and Smart Manufacturing” and “Civil Aircraft Real-Time Condition Monitoring and Development of Airborne Maintenance Technology” in the morning.

In the afternoon, YI Xiaosu, Chief Scientist on Composites of Aviation Industry Corporation of China and Vladimir PALKIN, Councilor of General Director of Central Institute of Aviation Motors (FSUE) made their informative keynote speech on the topic of “Green Material for Green Aviation and Composites for Multifunctionality” and “Innovations in Aero Engines for Future Civil Aircraft”. By the brainstorming based on topic “Discussion on the Current, Problems and Ideas of Aviation Materials”, YI Xiaosu, Chief Scientist on Composites of Aviation Industry Corporation of China as the moderator, discussed with CHEN Ping, Chief Research & Development Engineer of COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and SHI Suilin, Vice Chief Engineer & Director of Science and Technology Department of Chongqing Skyrizon Aero-engine Co., Ltd. in depth. There is no doubt that they got a resounding round of applause. Finally, the summit ended with the closing ceremony of JIN Hongmig, Secretary-General of Shanghai Society of Aeronautics!
