In 2017 the Russian MRO market is anticipating a 10% growth and will reach $1.51 bln though just a 1/3 of the revenue will accrue to local providers.

This forecast was announced on March 2 at MRO Russia & CIS, the 12th international conference and exhibition that gathered 900 industry professionals from over 40 countries in Moscow.

Aircraft fleet operated in Russia quickly recovered from a 2015 downturn as 2016 deliveries reached 100 airplanes. Meanwhile, the share of long-haul wide-body aircraft in the fleet structure continues to grow.

According to the conference speakers and attendees, the 2017 MRO Russia & CIS saw an impressive airline gathering ever.

“We were excited to see our customers and partners as well as new faces from across the CIS countries and Russia’s regions, – says Igor Voznyuk of Embraer Europe.

“MRO Russia & CIS uniquely combines business spirit with informal networking, – adds Dimtri Zaitsev, VP Corporate Sales at Lufthansa Technik.

“Business meetings are highly effective here and are shaping our future in the region in practical sense, – says Zaitsev.

Gerard Michael MacCarthy, Irish Embassy affirms: “All of our companies were impressed by the level of presence and organization. We will consider expansion of exhibition space in 2018.”

Produced by ATO Events, the 2017 MRO Russia & CIS was sponsored by Lufthansa Technik, Engineering Holding, Boeing and TP Aerospace.

The 13th MRO Russia & CIS conference and exhibition will be held on March 1-2, 2018 at Moscow World Trade Center.
