Cut queues and costs while staying safe – Analogic’s ConneCT security scanner
Analogic launches ConnectCT. the latest in advanced medical imaging technology, at Passenger Terminal Expo 2017. The new technology helps to speed up security lines; automatically detecting threats and helping to reduce the airport’s operating costs.
Analogic Computed Tomography (CT) technology has been the gold standard in advanced medical imaging technology and for screening air travelers’ checked or hold baggage at top airports worldwide. Now, this same technology is available for security checkpoint screening, at a cost ‘per passenger screened’ that is a fraction of slower 2D X-Ray scanners.
Analogic will be launching its latest technology, the ConneCT, at Passenger Terminal Expo 2017. The ConneCT is Analogic’s CT solution for Airport Checkpoint Security Screening. The new scanner helps to cut lengthy lines and therefor creating happier passengers. Airport trials have shown an improvement in passenger throughput by up to two times. Liquids and electronics can stay in passengers’ bags with the new system thanks to the better threat detection using 3-D, 360 imaging, which pinpoints threats.
Higher throughput and reliability, lower false alarm rate means reduced cost per passenger screened. It has been designed to meet highest EU, US TSA detection standards and requires no more manual rescans, meaning passengers fly through the checkpoint. Built-in networking capabilities support remote screening and multiple system matrixing.
With double the passenger throughput and fewer bags requiring rescreening, airports can cut per passenger screening costs by 50% or more.
Analogic will demonstrate the ConneCT at its stand at Passenger Terminal Expo 2017.
