Passenger Terminal EXPO & CONFERENCE lands in Paris

The 2020 Passenger Terminal EXPO, held on 31 March, 1, 2 of April, is the world’s largest annual airport exhibition – covering 19,000m² – offering an unparalleled opportunity for visitors to see and experience the very latest products, services and technologies in the sector.

The EXPO will play host to over 350 exhibitors, including leading names such as Siemens, Vanderlande, NEC, Vitra, IATA, Groupe ADP, Hong Kong International Airport and AECOM, each showcasing their very latest innovations and solutions for enhanced efficiency, safety and passenger experience for airports across the globe.

The presence of such industry heavyweights makes the Passenger Terminal EXPO the most important international airport networking event of the year, providing airport and airline professionals with ample opportunity to make new contacts and discuss common issues.

The CONFERENCE will be attended by over 1,900 senior airport, airline, aviation authority, government and related business executives, with 400 expert speakers set to address the delegates.

The CONFERENCE begins with an opening address from Augustin de Romanet, Chief Executive Officer of Groupe ADP, the host airport authority for the 2020 show. Further notable speakers include Fraser Brown, retail director at Heathrow Airport, who will outline how Heathrow sees the future of travel retail; Sebastien Lavina, airport operations expert at Airbus, who will discuss the future of airport operations; and Anita Natarajan, head of global operations at Uber, who will discuss innovation for an exceptional end-to-end passenger experience.

Attendees will be able to take part in a number of panel discussions within each of the 14 dedicated conference streams, which are designed to encourage audience participation and facilitate a genuine exchange of views.

Notable panels include the ‘retail at your fingertips’ panel, part of the commercial development, retail, concessions and media stream, which will focus on entrepreneurship and innovation in retail, and discuss how airport retail can be reinvented to meet the needs of today’s passengers. The ‘countering the threat of drones’ panel, part of the aviation security, border control and facilitation stream, is expected to be equally popular, in light of recent disruption caused by the breaching of airports’ airspace by unmanned aerial vehicles.

As well as attending the EXPO and CONFERENCE to network with the leading lights of the industry, all attendees are invited to the SkyTrax World Airport Awards in hall 7.3. The awards are being held at the Passenger Terminal Expo in recognition of its role as the key event in the airport industry calendar. A number of prestigious awards will be up for grabs, including the hotly contested ‘World’s Best Airport’, as well as the World’s Cleanest Airport Award, Best Airport Security Award and the Best Airport Shopping Award.
