Aerospace & Defense Meetings ADM Sevilla 2024 has already reached 205 registered companies from 24 different countries, with one month and one week left for its celebration, which will take place between May 14 and 16 at Fibes. These participation figures demonstrate the interest aroused in the global industry by this biennial event, widely consolidated in its twelfth anniversary, as the reference in Spain and the most important in southern Europe to explore business opportunities in the aerospace sector, placing Andalusia as a strategic point of a business circuit that develops worldwide.
In this context, the first registration data of the seventh edition of ADM Sevilla include 162 companies registered as exhibitors, of which 73 come from other countries. These are important quantitative figures, together with qualitative records of maximum interest, since up to 70% of the companies registered as contractors (OEMs) are also based in foreign markets (30 out of 43), which reinforces the international nature of the event.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and European Funds, through Andalucía TRADE, and by the company BCI Aerospace, specialist in international meetings of the sector. It also includes the main manufacturers of the European, Spanish and Andalusian industry: Airbus, the largest European manufacturer in the sector, as the main partner of the event; Aciturri, as a platinum sponsor; and Aernnova, Aertec, Capgemini, Gazc, Grupo Sevilla Control, Sofitec and Utingal, as gold sponsors.
Furthermore, ADM Sevilla has the collaboration, as institutional supporters, of the rest of the Spanish industry agents, through Tedae (Spanish Association of Technological, Defense, Aeronautical and Space Companies), and the Andalusian industry, with Andalucía Aerospace (Andalusian aerospace cluster). The event is also supported by CATEC-Advanced Center for Aerospace Technologies and the Spanish Aerospace Agency (AEE).
Business in 2024
ADM Sevilla comes to be held with a successful start of the year 2024 for the sector, which has seen how in the month of January has multiplied its exports by 11 compared to January 2023, up to 490 million euros; and after closing 2023 with 2,094 million in international sales. These figures are in addition to the large numbers of international aircraft and business orders announced in recent months. This will translate into higher turnover, exports and employment for the Andalusian industry.
ADM Sevilla is configured, thus, as the business event of reference for the aerospace and defense sector in Spain. Its objective is to increase the turnover of the Andalusian and Spanish aerospace cluster, establishing Andalusia as a key point in the global aerospace market and boosting international growth opportunities for the aerospace industry in Andalusia and Spain in general, in the civil, military and space branches.
The Minister of Economy, Carolina España, celebrated the “significant participation figures that ADM Sevilla has achieved with more than a month to go, as well as the important presence of large international contractors, who make up two thirds of the total, and the two largest manufacturers in the world, which underlines the recognition of the event organized by the Andalusian Regional Government as a business event of great relevance, which makes the Andalusian cluster the host of the industry worldwide,” added Carolina España.
“This appointment boosts the business of the Andalusian aerospace industry, a competitive industry involved in some of the most important projects in world aviation, such as the A400M or the Airbus 320.”
“The next edition of ADM Sevilla offers global supply chain professionals an exceptional opportunity to meet and collaborate in the search for new business avenues. And by being held in Sevilla, the event further strengthens Andalusia’s position as Spain’s aerospace business epicenter,” Carolina España finally emphasized.
According to the latest data published by Andalucía Aerospace, the Andalusian aerospace cluster has 143 companies that generated in 2022 a turnover of 2,356 million euros, 17% more than in 2021; and 13,136 direct jobs (+8%). Moreover, 88% of these companies are located in the provinces of Seville and Cadiz, although other provinces such as Malaga, Jaen, Huelva and Cordoba are joining in recent years with companies and projects of importance.
