3rd Civil Helicopter Industry International Forum 2019 was Successfully Held in Shanghai

According to the “13th Five-Year Development Plan of General Aviation” issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, China will vigorously promote the development of general aviation culture, tourism, leisure and entertainment, while strengthening the protection and improvement of people’s livelihood, and strengthening the application of general aircraft in emergency rescue and short-distance transportation. It is estimated that by 2020, the size of China’s general aviation fleet will reach more than 5000, and the composite growth rate will reach 17.5%.

Under this background, the 3^rd Civil Helicopter Industry International Forum 2019 was successfully held in Shanghai from June 26^th -27^th, 2019. The forum is Advised by the CAAC East China Regional Administration, Hosted by the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, supported by CAAC East China General Aviation Service Center, Organized by LONGHUA AIRPORT GROUP COMPANY, China Helicopter Design and Research Institute, AECC Hunan Aviation Powerplant Research Institute, AVIC Shanghai Aviation Electronic Co., Ltd., AVIC ATM SYSTEM and EQUIPMENT CORPORATION LIMITED, Co-organized by Galleon(Shanghai) Consulting Co., Ltd.

At the forum, the relevant leaders of CAAC, Helicopter Research Institute and enterprise delivered speeches on the development of OEM, engine and airborne equipment in civil helicopter industry, as well as the operation, maintenance, training, service and market analysis of civil helicopter, so as to promote the integration and cooperation of industry, ensure the operation, safety and reliability of civil helicopter.

On the afternoon of June 27^th , the participants went to CAAC East China General Aviation Service Center and Longhua Airport for a visit to understand the current situation of the General Aviation industry, and experience the vigorous development of General Aviation.

The two-day forum ended satisfactorily and attracted nearly 200 guests from domestic and foreign helicopter operators, OEMs, helicopter system suppliers, parts, equipment suppliers, governments and industry media. The aim of this forum is to build an international communication platform to strengthen industry cooperation, promote common progress and development of civil helicopter industry at home and abroad, explore low-cost helicopter operation schemes, and further create new economic growth points and higher value for the industry. We hope that more experts and scholars will participate in the forum next year.
