An outstanding first day at the NEC has seen a buzzing exhibition floor and vehicle demonstration area, with the best of British-Irish airport innovation and industry on show.

Visitors from across the regions have heard from an array of high-powered, influential speakers, including an inspirational keynote from Lord Deighton, Chairman, Heathrow Airport on the main stage this morning, plus security briefings on the Istanbul and Glasgow Airport attacks and “Unconference” discussion panels, hosted by the British Aviation Group. Airport leader panels debating airport security, operations and development are still continuing and guests will enjoy a BBQ Party tonight, courtesy of host Birmingham Airport.
