Hubei Province flights resume

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has announced the resumption of civil aviation flights in Hubei Province, the region where the COVID-19 pandemic began.

On March 29, 2020, domestic passenger flights at all Hubei airports other than Wuhan Tianhe Airport resumed, with Wuhan Tianhe flights to restart on April 8.

CAAC also confirmed that, due to the need for COVID-19 prevention and control, passenger flights between Hubei Province airports and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan will not resume for the time being. Passenger flights between Hubei and Beijing remain grounded.

Cargo flights at all airports in Hubei Province also resumed on March 29.

The Civil Aviation Central and South China Regional Administration have urged all airports in Hubei Province to implement safeguards for flight restoration, strictly controlling the pace of restoration and ensuring that airports are able to support the newly resumed flights.
