According to statistics from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, in 2018, China’s civil aviation passenger traffic has reached 610 million passengers, and the total turnover of transportation has ranked second in the world for 14 consecutive years; the number of air traffic control flights has exceeded 10 million flights; transport aviation has achieved a new safety record of 100 months of continuous safe flight; the normal rate of flights has crossed the 80% mark; 126 countries have signed air transport agreements with China, and the “Belt and Road” has been implemented in the global civil aviation.
In 2019, global air passenger traffic ushered in a good start and passenger demand was stable. It brought opportunities for global airlines and also faced many external challenges. Technology concepts such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, virtual reality technology and voice technology will be more widely used in airlines to help the airlines to accelerate digital transformation.
