According to Boeing’s 2024 Civil Aviation Market Outlook, China’s civil aviation fleet is expected to more than double from the current 4,345 aircraft to 9,740 aircraft by 2043, with an average annual growth rate of 4.1 percent. Over the next 20 years, China is expected to need 1,575 new widebody aircraft and will have the largest widebody fleet in the world. China’s freighter fleet, including new and modified freighters, is set to nearly triple as demand for freighters continues to be spurred by booming e-commerce.

As a large asset with a long life, aircraft is undoubtedly the most important tool for the production and operation of airlines. The introduction of aircraft in the early stage, the mid-term operation and even the disposal in the later stage have a great impact on the operating performance of airlines. The value of an aircraft is expressed in different ways all the time. For the aviation industry, it is very important to maximize the utilization, value and industry of the whole life cycle of the aircraft from the design and manufacturing, to the operation, modification, and then to the dismantling and recycling. It is of great strategic significance to promote the circulation and healthy development of the aircraft full-value industry, further master the value law of the aircraft full-life cycle, develop aviation disassembly and remanufacturing engineering, and improve the utilization rate of domestic aviation materials. The value management of aircraft is a multi-dimensional and cross-professional field, which can promote the circulation and healthy development of the aircraft full-value industry. Master the value law of aircraft life cycle, and carry out high-level aircraft value assessment services for the market.

This is crucial for aircraft manufacturers, airlines, aircraft leasing companies, banking and financial enterprises, MRO enterprises, etc. Through in-depth discussions on various topics such as aircraft life extension, disposal of middle-aged and elderly aircraft, aircraft retirement and salvage value management, a more complete aviation industry chain and aviation ecosystem can be built.
