The 11th International Smart Airport Development Forum 2023

The construction of a strong civil aviation country in the 14th Five-Year Plan period has entered a new stage, and civil aviation is facing a new development situation. The new stage of building a strong civil aviation country requires civil aviation to accelerate its transformation to high-quality development. The Road Map for Building Smart Civil Aviation makes it clear that smart airports are one of the four core targets of smart civil aviation. In recent years, the number of airports in China has been increasing, from 175 in 2010 to 250 in 2022. The development of smart airport will bring greater convenience to the travel of passengers.

The construction of smart airport has become a hot topic, and China will pay more attention to smart airport development. Since 2015, China’s smart airport market has grown rapidly, from 1.7 billion yuan in 2013 to 4.797 billion yuan in 2020. The market volume of smart airport in 2021 is about 5.528 billion yuan. At present, China’s smart airport technology mainly focuses on the investment in electronic information technology, the airport widely used electronic information technology to achieve airport aviation display, broadcasting, departure, production command, building automation, inquiry and fire control and other intelligent control and information management. With the acceleration of the digital and intelligent transformation of airports, smart airports will usher in new development opportunities.
