In 2018 we could look back at a 2017 which was the best safety year in aviation history. We all knew that it would be hard to do this every year. Unfortunately, we indeed had a negative trend in 2018. This demonstrates that safety is not a given yet (will it ever be?) and that we must continue to set goals and work hard across all the industry to get this perfect score every year.
We believe that sharing best practices within our industry is key to success in improving the overall safety of the airline industry. There are many aspects of training that are important to review, and each year we highlight one of them.

Heads of Training Meeting
Heads of Training (HoT) Meeting
When: Monday 2nd September at 18:45
What: The 4th annual APATS HoT meeting will bring together Heads of Training, Senior Training, Operations Directors and Managers from airlines, training organisations and regulators to freely discuss the issues at hand between those directly responsible for training. The meeting is only open to attendees of APATS with the relevant management responsibility and after approval from the conference chair.
The Heads of Training Meeting will be a “closed doors” meeting where the hope is to establish a high level of trust and process so that it can be of real assistance to the training community in the Asia Pacific Region.
