Etihad Airways celebrates 20th anniversary at Munich Airport and increases number of flights
To mark the 20-year jubilee of its flights to and from Munich, Etihad has announced two daily flights to Bavaria from May 2025 onwards. This is part of Etihad Airways’ strategic goal to operate twice-daily flights to key destinations. Thanks to the increase, departures and arrivals are optimallyscheduled for both morning and evening, offering travelers a wider selection of connecting flights at the airline’s hub in Abu Dhabi.
When an Etihad Aiways Airbus A330 landed at Munich Airport for the first time in summer of 2004, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, based in Abu Dhabi, was slightly over a year old. Shortly after its founding, the route from Abu Dhabi to Munich was established. The airline has been a regular guest in Munich ever since. Today, a 787-9 Dreamliner, the most modern aircraft in the Boeing family, flies daily to the capital of the UAE.
