Delta Air Lines Brisbane bound LA28 flight set to make history

  • First Delta Air Lines flight to Brisbane will cross the Pacific this evening

Delta Air Lines is set to make aviation history with the arrival of its inaugural flight DL93 from Los Angeles to Brisbane, marking the airline’s second Australian destination.

This landmark flight is being conducted by the special Delta Air Lines Olympic LA28 livery aircraft, uniquely connecting two sequential host cities, Los Angeles (2028) and Brisbane (2032).

DL93 is expected to be one of the most tracked flights in the world as it crosses the Pacific.

“With its very unique LA28 livery, there will be eyes around the world watching as this flight symbolically connects two host cities, and we expect it to roar up the charts of the most tracked flight in the world on FlightRadar24,” according to Brisbane Airport spokesperson Peter Doherty.

To meet worldwide interest, Brisbane Airport will livestream the landing of the Airbus A350-900 live, giving viewers a front-row window seat.

“We will again be deploying our world-first live runway-cam, offering audiences a front-row window seat to this historic landing.”

In addition, a watch-party will be held in Los Angeles, with aviation enthusiasts gathering to view the livestream.
