Bulgaria Air will operate its flights from the new Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport after June 9

The new Terminal 3 at the airport in Frankfurt started working on April 23, 2026

The national carrier informs its passengers that, due to the upcoming closure of Terminal 2 at Frankfurt Airport (FRA), as of 9 June 2026 all flights operated by the airline on the Sofia – Frankfurt – Sofia route will be relocated and handled at the new Terminal 3.

The relocation is part of the phased reorganization of the German airport, which affects all airlines currently operating from Terminal 2. Bulgaria Air is included in the final phase of this process, which means that flights will continue to depart from Terminal 2 until and including June 9. The airline’s first flight to and from the new Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport is scheduled for June 10, 2026.

Important information for Bulgaria Air passengers:

• Check-in for flights will take place at the counters in zones 36/37 of the new T3.

• Checked baggage may be dropped off in zones 33, 34 and 35 of T3.

• Passengers are advised to verify the departure terminal indicated on their boarding pass before arriving at the airport.

The airline also recommends that all passengers allow sufficient time to familiarize themselves with the new terminal and to monitor up-to-date information about their flights through the official channels of the national carrier.

The new Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport will officially begin operations on April 23, 2026, marking a key milestone in the development of one of Europe’s busiest aviation hubs. The new infrastructure is expected to provide more efficient services and an improved passenger experience.
