Bangkok Airways welcomes its latest ATR 72-600 Aircraft
Recently, Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited led by AM. Dechit Chareonwong, Vice President of Flight Operations together with airline’ pilots welcomed its brand-new ATR 72-600 aircraft at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The new ATR 72-600 was delivered from ATR manufacturer in Toulouse, France. This new-generation ATR-600 is equipped with state-of-the-art full-glass cockpit monitoring and control systems. It also features high comfort layout seating for 70 passengers with larger overhead bins to enhance travel convenience and contentment. The newly delivered ATR 72-600 will be added to the services on domestic flights such as Sukhothai, Trat, Lampang, Samui (Surat Thani), Phuket, Krabi and Hat Yai (Songkhla).
The ATR 72 is a turboprop-powered regional airliner, capable of accommodating a maximum of 70 passengers. It is powered by a pair of Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 turboprop engines, which drive an arrangement of four or six-bladed propellers supplied by Hamilton Standard.
Currently, Bangkok Airways’ fleet consists of 40 aircrafts; 2 ATR72-500s, 13 ATR72-600s, 16 A319s, and 9 A320s.
