Aviator Extends Lufthansa Partnership and Adds New Cargo Deal at CPH
Aviator Airport Alliance, a full-range provider of aviation services at 15 airports across the Nordics and a family member of Avia Solutions Group, is pleased to announce the extension of its partnership to support Lufthansa Group at Copenhagen (CPH) airport, along with a new agreement to handle Lufthansa Cargo operations. This renewal will include services for both passenger and cargo operations and builds on a partnership that has interconnected CPH with Lufthansa’s destinations across the globe for an additional 3 years.
Aviator Airport Alliance will provide ground handling and de-/anti-icing services to more than 121 weekly Lufthansa Group flights and 1 weekly Lufthansa Cargo flight at CPH station. This contract includes flights operated by Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Swiss. These operations will encompass a variety of aircraft types including the CRJ-900, Embraer 190/195, and narrowbody Airbus aircraft such as the A220, A320, A321 and A321P2F.
“We are excited to continue building on the trust of Lufthansa Group,” Jens Bo Hansen, Managing Director of Aviator Denmark, said. “Renewing our partnership with Lufthansa is a validation of the work done by our team to satisfy the needs of the German flag carrier as it delivers its prestigious quality of service at Copenhagen.”
The agreement is in addition to partnerships between Aviator Airport Alliance and Lufthansa Group at Stockholm-Arlanda (ARN) and Gothenburg (GOT) airports. Lufthansa Group, for its part, is the second largest airline in Europe and a member of Star Alliance. The group operates a fleet of approximately 274 aircraft to more than 229 destinations worldwide.
“Our partnership with Aviator has grown every year along with operational efficiency. I firmly believe that, built on mutual trust and respect, it will remain strong for many years to come. Having partners like Aviator is a key element of our success,” Christoph Meyer, Head of Ground Operations Continental North at Lufthansa Group, said.
Aviator Airport Alliance is part of Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance) provider, operating a fleet of 214 passenger and cargo aircraft worldwide.
